To Honor and Glory
My song and sword are sworn;
To Justice and Charity
I pledge my path and praise;
To Valor and Victory
I dedicate my daring days.

These virtues bind the Wayward Dragons together in friendship. As we search for our destinies, we offer our aid to those honorable and in need. This code is the heart of our guild, and our members are the soul. Therefore, each member must stay true to the heart and eachother. Without this unity, our valliant company shall cease to be.

Murder:

The groundless killing of other players will not be tolerated. If a Wayward Dragon takes a fellow traveler's life without due cause, the founders and council will exact fitting punishment as the case demands. Members may choose uphold justice and avenge those slain, but this is not the duty nor expectations of Wayward Dragons.

Chain of Command:

Captain / Thaelostor (Elflord/Elflady)
Lieutenant / Irmaelin (Noble)
Sergant / Mandrae (Petty Noble)
Corporal / Hoodrimath (Middle Caste)
Footman / Saerdulor (Peer)
Recruit / Eccelene (Follower)

The Guild Leader is the highest ranking member of the guild, a Founder, and a Council Member. The Founders are the next highest ranking officers as the four members that crafted the guild and members of the Council. The Council Members are the third most powerful people in the guild and are chosen for their dedication to the guild and its code. The Lieutenants or Irmaelins are honored members of the guild that have shown their dedication for some time. Footmen or Saerdulors are the common members of the guild, no longer initiates but not old hands in the guild. Recruits or Eccelenes are initiates who recently joined our ranks.

Guild Events:

During guild events, all members participating should follow the orders of the member(s) incharge of the event. In emergency situations, a leader should take charge emediately; any disputes on who is most apt should be settled quickly and quitely. Members should pay close attention to the leader(s). Members are expected to show due respect to the ranking officers and ALL members of our guild.

Participation:

Our survival as a guild depends upon the dedicated participation of our members. We would like to see our members as much as possible; they are our friends! Outstanding participation will be rewarded. This can mean long hours of guild play or simply that the time that is available is spent in the betterment of the guild. Outstanding participation mainly means that you make a difference above and beyond that which is expected.

Interaction with other Guilds:

We encourage friendships with players outside our guild, though any binding promises should only be made by council members. It is not acceptable for our members to reveal any information that has been declared a guild secrete to anyone outside the guild. If a member of another guild approaches a Wayward Dragon with a purposal, this purposal is to be relayed to a council member as soon as possible. This will help avoid misconceptions and offended pride. Above all else, deal frankly and honestly with other guilds. If our fellow guilds do not trust us, we will get no where in the scheme of things. We are honorable mercenaries and should conduct ourselves as such.

Guild Donations:

We encourage the art of sharing and ask that each member donate something to the guild within five (5) weeks of their initiation. This donation is made as a sign of devotion and tribute to our friendship; spare equipment, even starter equipment, are welcome tributes. Further donations of any size are much appreciated and will benefit the entire guild.

Looting Policy:

When looting from a monster slain through the co-operation with anyone, please show due curtesy and be fair. We do not want to be known as a greedy guild. During a guild hunt, 1-5% of coins found should be placed in the guild treasury. Also, if ten (10) or more items are found, at least one (1) should go to the treasury.

Treasurey:

All donations and the guild's share of spoils will be entered into the treasury, run by Coucil Member Ansua Galdr Song. This treasury will provide for the entire guild. Equipment and magic items will be divied out according to need and merit. These items will be given out only at the orders of the council.

Becoming an Initiate:

To join us, you should contact one of the members of the Inner Council. You will then be invited into the guild as a petitioner at the discretion of the Council member you contact. You can also fill out the apllication form to join the guild.

Acceptance:

To be accepted as a full member of the guild, you will need to have earned three (3) white marks from other full members, perferably at least two (2) different members.

Promotions:

Promotions occure when a player has exhibited his or her dedication and abilites. Regular guild members will submit the player they think is worthy of the honor by placing a white mark on them. These marks will be considered by the council and promotions will be awarded.

Leaving the Guild:

We understand that things come up and a time may come when you must leave our ranks. If this time comes, please inform a council member. Be aware that readmitance to the guild will require more than the ussual induction unless arrangements are made upon your leaving.

Inapproriate Actions:

  • Personally insulting any member of Wayward Dragons or our allies.
  • Showing disrespect toward guild members, especially those in the Council
  • Giving privilaged information about our guild to non-guild members
  • Harming guild members or diplomates unless in self-defense
  • Rudeness to anyone
  • Disregard for policies and the code

Amendments:

This charter may be modified in the course of time. Such changes will occure due to member requests and with council approval.
